Are you struggling to find answers to your questions about what foods are best for you and your baby during pregnancy and beyond? Does it feel like you are searching endlessly and you are still unable to find the information you need about eating well and keeping active? Unsure how to be food wise in pregnancy? If so, then look no further, you are in the right place.

This brand new, up to date, free app is brought to you by NHS Wales professionals. As qualified dietitians, specialist physiotherapist and midwives, we’ve worked alongside people and their partners during their pregnancy to develop the 6-week Foodwise in Pregnancy programme. The app accompanies the programme and can be accessed alone, or it can be used in conjunction with the group-based sessions in areas where the sessions are running.

It is designed to provide relevant and accurate healthy lifestyle information focussing on topics such as foods to enjoy, food safety recommendations, important vitamins and minerals and answers to common questions such as ‘Should I eat for two?’ or ‘Can I still exercise during pregnancy?’

There are sections for; setting goals to keep you on track, a wide range of tasty, affordable recipes for you to try at home, tips for exercising safely and other sources of relevant information.

Once you get started you’ll find an array of fun games and activities to further your food knowledge and skills such as quizzes, interactive games, guided activities and video clips to access at your own pace.
The app has been expertly developed to support you with current, trusted information that accompanies the information provided by your midwife.
